2016, approximately 21cm x 10cm, old plate, mirror, feather, jewellery, tesserae etc., metal shoe. The name was inspired by a favourite book which I read to my grandchildren.
Approximately 60cm x 36cm, original bricks used to build the Church, tesserae, tiles, wooden golf tees, silver cross etc., board. All Saints Church has been closed for five years and fundraising is ongoing to strengthen and restore this much loved Church.

In memoriam – Barbara sadly passed away in 2021.
I am passionate about “The Art of Broken Pieces” which is what Mosaic Art is often referred to as. My artist daughter taught me many years ago and I work in my garage whenever I can. I think of my work as ‘painting with mosaics’ and I often use birds or fish or incorporate Christian themes. I like a challenge and once I visualise something, I strive to complete that vision. I exhibit whenever I can, both locally and at the New Zealand Mosaic Art Exhibition which is held every two years.
