Masi in my Blood
Featuring New Zealand born Fijian artist Rowena Rooney.
Rowena’s art is strongly influenced by her Fijian heritage. Masi in my Blood is a show of contemporary mixed media artworks that tell the story of how Masi and Masi designs (Fijian Tapa) have been woven into practice.
Rowena’s one mosaic exhibit is of a large Tapa which took forever to complete. The round masi is white ceramic tiles, black onglaze and black sanded grout on marine ply. Size 990 mm diameter
