New Zealand Mosaic Art

NZMA National Exhibition  : :  Mosaic 2021

20th October – 14th November 2021

Estuary Arts Centre, Orewa


Registration closes 6th September 2021.

There is no specific theme. The exhibition will celebrate contemporary mosaic art in Aotearoa New Zealand, encouraging artists to pursue the directions they are passionate about and to focus on a unique and adventurous New Zealand/Pasifika interpretation of this ancient art form.


The judges will be looking for the best in each category and will agree on the Best Overall in the exhibition.

Categories are:

  • 2D (wall hangings) and 3D (freestanding) worksAlso (provided there are sufficient works meeting the description):
  • Margaret Coupe Award for personality, observation, and storytelling.
  • Reflections on New Zealand Award for Kiwi style works telling stories that are distinctly NewZealand.
  • Pasifika Award, for works that are distinctly Pacific.
  • Youth Award for works by artists or makers under 18 years.
